What to expect on install day
Here is exactly who does what, so nothing is a surprise on the morning we show up.
The finish standard
A finished floor, a clean room.
We plan the work area, clean up at the end of each day, and complete a final walk-through with you when the installation is finished.
We handle
Moving your furniture is included in the price we quote you. There is no separate charge for it.
- 01Beds, dressers, nightstands, and bookcases
- 02Couches, chairs, and tables
- 03Moving everything out of the work area and back when the floor is finished
- 04Tear-out and haul-away of your old flooring
- 05Cleanup at the end of each day
We don't move
A few things are outside what our crew is equipped to handle safely. If any of these are in the room, tell us at your estimate and we'll plan around them together.
- 01Pianos, organs, and gun safes
- 02Aquariums and pool tables
- 03Appliances, including washers, dryers, and refrigerators
- 04Wall-mounted televisions
- 05Exercise equipment
- 06Anything over roughly 200 pounds
- 07Any furniture that has not been emptied
Before we arrive
This is the short list of what we need from you. It takes most homeowners an evening.
- 01Empty every drawer, cabinet, closet, and shelf in the rooms we're working in
- 02Take down anything breakable, including wall art and mirrors
- 03Put away valuables, medication, and anything you'd rather we not handle
- 04Disconnect and set aside electronics
- 05Plan for pets to be somewhere else during install
If anything on this list is a problem, call us before install day. We would rather move a date than start a job that isn't ready.
